Sami

Sami has loved animals for as long as she can remember. She grew up surrounded by them thanks to her grandma, who always had animals around. She has worked in the veterinary field for five years, gaining experience in general practice, emergency medicine, and exotic animal care. Sami completed her veterinary technician program and passed the VTNE, and she is both Fear Free and Cat Friendly certified. For her, the best part of the job is comforting her patients and being their voice, and she also loves teaching pet owners how to care for their furry companions.

Sami also has a unique background. She graduated from the Worsham College of Mortuary Science, passed her boards, and trained as a funeral director and embalmer apprentice. She counts that and finishing her tech program as her proudest accomplishments.

At home, Sami and Shawn, her partner of 11 years, share their lives with four cats: Kirby, a Bengal; Blossom, a Ragdoll; T’Challa and Jinn. In her free time, she enjoys watching ghost videos, playing Switch games, and catching up on sleep with her cats. She’s a big fan of The Vampire Diaries and Ghost Adventures, and she never says no to a Red Bull.
